Our leadership groups unite research-minded teacher leaders in ongoing conversation and collaboration, exploring professional texts and implementing and assessing new strategies in their classrooms.

Classroom teachers repeatedly tell us that what they value most about professional development from the Indiana Partnership for Young Writers is being part of a larger community of highly professional educators.

We bring innovative, research-minded teacher leaders from central Indiana together regularly to think collaboratively about the workshop teaching they do in their classrooms. They read and discuss professional texts, try new practices in their classrooms, share student work with an eye for what it reveals about what students know and might be taught next, discuss specific mini-lessons or units of study, and think collaboratively about how to address challenges in the classroom.
