IPS Leadership

Our leadership groups unite research-minded teacher leaders in ongoing conversation and collaboration, exploring professional texts and implementing and assessing new strategies in their classrooms.

IPS teachers in the schools supported by IUPUI’s grant from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education participate in a monthly Leadership Group that is focused on reading and writing workshop.

Several of the teacher-leaders in this group have been participating for 10 or more years and support teachers inside their respective school buildings by mentoring them—sharing resources, modeling mini-lessons, helping others adapt successful units of study for their own classrooms.

At this time, participation is by invitation only and includes teachers at Center for Inquiry #2, Center for Inquiry #27, Center for Inquiry #70, Center for Inquiry #84, IPS Butler Lab School #60, SUPER School #19, Brookside School #54 and Theodore Potter #74.
